He was a graduate of Baruch College, CCNY. For more than four decades, Galewitz sold thousands of used books from his home to people all over the world, specializing in humor titles.A literary agent who represented best-selling children's book characters Curious George and Little Orphan Annie during the 1970's and produced numerous records for Golden and MGM Records in the 1960's'. Galewitz, of Orange, Conn., also edited numerous books of the great cartoon era, including "The Celebrated Cases of Dick Tracy 1931- 51 "Toonerville Trolley" and "The Gumps."During retirement, he edited several quotation books, including one's on Friendship, Love and Jewish Wit and Wisdom. His long association with Curious George began when he produced the record "Curious George Takes a Job" in the late 1960's. His other record titles included"Pinocchio", "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
