- HISTORY MYSTERY: RAZIA AND THE PESKY PRESENTS
DetailsRazia Sultan, the dynamic ruler of Dihli, is enraged. Someone is sending her pesky presents--girly dresses and soppy poems on sultanas. Whats worse, they come with notes challenging her right to rule, as a woman. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Natasha Sharma: She delights in writing stories that create little bubbles that fizz up through the tummy and come bursting forth as giggles. She grew up surrounded by forty animals that included four dogs and often five puppies and though she doesn't have a dog at the moment, she'd love one. She doesn't have a baby donkey either. She'd love one of them too. Her first book Icky, Yucky, Mucky! was voted to the Top 3 books in HT-RivoKids Parent and Kids Choice Award 2014 in the under 5 years category. Her book Akbar and the Tricky Traitor from the History Mystery series was also voted to the top 3 books in the 5-10 year category for the same award. Her recent books include Squiggle Takes a Walk - all about punctuation, Razia and the Pesky Presents and Raja Raja and the Swapped Sacks (History Mystery series), some of which featured in the list of Flipkart's Best Children's Books of 2014. Her book Kaka and Munni is included in the CBSE recommended reading list and her poems have featured in schoolbooks and anthologies. Natasha conducts readings from her books at literature festivals, libraries and other wonderful places where books are treasured. She has spoken extensively at schools in author interactions and hopes to spark a wider interest for reading amongst children while introducing young readers to her books. Natasha is an MBA by qualification and has a graduate degree in Math. Prior to writing stories for children, Natasha worked in the corporate sector, last at Yum Restaurants as brand manager for Pizza Hut India.
