When she was a child, heard her first mythological tale the traditional way--orally from her grandmother- stories of mighty kings and gods and how they slew one demon after another. Since then, magical, mythical stories have always captivated her as a reader and listener. However, as a writer, she did not always create fiction. She wrote about fiction, health etc. During her hectic working career as a journalist, her creative instincts were limited to her personal diary. For seven years she ran after people looking for stories--news stories. One day, however, she decided to create her own stories instead, and officially began writing graphic novels. While researching for and writing the book-Krishna, she delved into the fabulous world. She bacame all the characters she wrote about, and had all their adventures. She lives in Bangalore working as a technology journalist and novelist.ABOUT THE ARTIST: Rajesh Nagulakonda. Lines and colours have been a part of his life right from his childhood in his hometown Chirala, Andhra Pradesh. His grandfather was a goldsmith and his father a printer. Both of them had influenced him to take up art as a career. He believes in instinct rather than education. He mostly spends his time alone trying to explore different forms of art such as sculpture, nail art on paper, metal engraving and of course, painting.
