His first encounter with the fantastic in books was George MacDonald, given a boost by C.S. Lewis, and locked down forever by J.R.R. Tolkien. He knew he was going to be a writer by age 9. He did not know that it would take him twenty years to get there. He writes and publishes books under the name C.E. L. Welsh, because if you have four names and you are a writer you are legally obligated to use all of them.His published works include Graphic Novels (Harry Houdini, Space Race) by Campfire Comics, short stories (Shiver, A.I. Trigger), novellas (Tubifex, Coffeyville), and his debut novel, CLUTCH: Book One of The Wrecked Earth, published in 2012 by Rockfall Books. His other writing credits include many supplements (Aliens: The Ruthdii for Precis Intermedia, Villains - The Brotherhood of Mahlik for Dog Soul Publishing) and stories (Techi's Solution, Walk of Swords for Noumenon by Abstract Nova) written for the Role Playing Game industry.His daily life is spent chasing down the Muse with a rusty crowbar when he is not analyzing software for defects or annoying his wife and children with magic tricks and Kung Fu demonstrations.Chris is currently writing SUNDER: Book Two of The Wrecked Earth, for publication in the winter of 2014.ADAPTED BY: Born in 1974 in Toms River, New Jersey, USA, Ryan Foley's obsession with comic books began during his childhood. He was first introduced to characters like Spider-Man and Batman during trips to the grocery store with his mother. In 2004, Ryan achieved a lifelong goal when his first comic book was published.Ryan has worked with Image Comics and Arcana Studios on comic book series, including Masters of the Universe and Dragon's Lair.ABOUT THE ARTIST: KL Jones is a Floyd County native who has been passionate about art his whole life. A Pepperell High graduate, In the early 90's Jones attended the Savannah College of Art and Design for Illustration and design, and Floyd College for Business. He currently owns and operates his modern design studio K L Jones Design. His professional experience includes work for Marvel Comics and as an illustrator of graphic novels for Campfire Books and Moonstone. Titles include The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Land That Time Forgot, The People That Time Forgot, Three Men in a Boat, That Man Flint, and Space Race. The books were illustrated adaptations of classic works of literature and modern fiction. He created all the branding ,marketing materials, and interior design for local day spa Ciao Bella. Through the years Jones has designed Tshirts, logos, concept art, album covers, textile designs, interior design and marketing materials for various other businesses both local and nationwide. Jones is a versatile artist who can work in many styles and mediums in the fine art or commercial field, from cartoon to photo realism, in pencil, pen and ink, oil paint, to digital.
