His novels have been translated into a hundred different languages and inspired over two hundred films. In his day Dumas was as famous for his financial irresponsibility and flamboyant lifestyle as for his writing. Dumas died in 1870.ADAPTED BY: R. Jay Nudds was born in Dublin in 1985 and grew up near Manchester. Having earned a degree in Archaeological Science from The University of Sheffield, Nudds worked as a designer and in the global stock markets before pursuing a career in Watchmaking.
