He has a visiting lecturer status with the University of Greenwich and the Royal Norwegian Air Force Academy at Trondheim.CHARLES MESSENGER: Charles Messenger served for nineteen years as a Regular officer and thirteen years as a Territorial in the Royal Tank Regiment. He has written over forty books on historical and defence matters, including a number on the two world wars. He has carried out several historical analysis studies for MOD and has written and helped direct a number of TV documentary series. He lectures widely and is an occasional battlefield guide. He is a member of the Army Records Society, the British Commission for Military History and the Society for Army Historical Research.ROBIN CROSS: Robin Cross is an author and journalist specialising in military history and the cinema. He has written over 30 books, two of which, VE Day and We'll Meet Again, have been best-sellers. He also has over 150 television documentaries to his credit, ranging from in-depth examinations of the CIA and KGB to celebrations of the love lives of such Hollywood stars as Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, Joan Crawford, and Jayne Mansfield. Robin Cross has written extensively on many aspects of 20th century military history, including the British home front in World War 2, the Soviet contribution to Allied victory in the war against Hitler and the strategic and tactical roles of the bomber.Robin has worked as a feature writer for The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Express newspapers and acted as a consultant editor/contributor on many reference books, among them Chronicle of the Cinema, Whos Who in Hollywood, Longmans Encyclopedia of World War 2 and Warfare in the Ancient World. Based in Hertfordshire, England, he has travelled widely and worked on projects in London, the continent of Europe and the United States.ABOUT THE INTRODUCER: RICHARD OVERY has written and edited more than thirty books, including Why the Allies Won, Russias War, The Twilight Years, 1939, and The Bombers and the Bombed.
