Sai Baba of Shirdi is one of the most well known spiritual Masters of India. He belongs to that brotherhood of saints who crossed the barriers of caste and creed and spoke the universal language of love. He taught the most profound philosophy and the greatest truths in a simple and forthright way. This book is a collection of stories, portrayed through the eyes of Laxmi, one of his closest devotees. While material facts have been kept intact, an element of fiction has been introduced to weave events from his life into a narrative. This book hopes to encourage the reader to reflect on Baba’s teachings and inspire a desire to understand the timeless wisdom passed on through our yesterdays. ABOUT THE AUTHOR : Prof. Girish Joshi, M.A. in Marathi and Sanskrit, is a professor at the Acharya Marathe College and a part-time professor at SIES. He has translated into Hindi and Marathi several books such as Amma by Mehrunnisa Pervez, Saripat by Vasudha Wagh, and Spiritual Masters: Sai Baba by Sonavi Desai. He has written numerous articles in periodicals such as Kadamb, Hemangi, Vasa, and Sai Leela to name a few. He has also presented a research paper on “Moropantanchi 108 Ramayane” at an international conference in Mumbai.
