Individuals, societies and countries need their own, unique identity. To show it to herself and to the world. For this, political power, wealth, epistemology, proficiency in art and literature, faith in religion and culture are taken as the basis. The subject in which one has mastered becomes his tool. But when the mentality of the elite, the prolific and the innovative is rejected in order to prove its own characteristic, then the prolific, the innovative, the elite in front is feared. It is their feeling that these people who are different from us are doing us injustice, exploiting us. Then they start using their own religion and culture as a tool against them. That is why a society that keeps itself away from all this becomes a terrorist. This is happening not only in the Jewish and Christian communities, but also to some extent in the Hindu and Buddhist communities. When humanists, egalitarians, thinkers, innovators, thinkers, artists, philosophers awaken the conscience of the society. Then that extremist attitude is controlled. These fluctuations are happening. Understanding them all and constantly preparing to face them is the only way out.... ABOUT THE AUTHOR : Pratibha Ranade is the author of twenty-five books in Marathi.
