ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Born in March 1950, Wing Commander DP Sabharwal (Retd) is a post-graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and MSc (Defence Studies) from Madras University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and The Aeronautical Society of India. He has had a distinguished career in the Indian Air Force in the field of maintenance of fighter aircraft like Hunters, Mig-21 and MiG-29. After 25 years, he sought voluntary retirement to pursue a career of teaching and writing. He has more than 20 technical and 100 literary articles published in various journals and magazines. He is the author of 24 books on aviation, space, general knowledge and personality development.
