Alex B. Fernandez, an eminent teacher of social work, is currently working as the director of doctoral programme at the school of social work. His teaching and research areas include social case work, social group work, social work research, psychiatric social work, social movements and advocacy, social policy and social justice.
Dr. Alex has provided services to individuals and families for thirty years in a range of practice settings. He is a member of in the editorial board of many famous journals on social work and has published in the area of social work theory and clinical practice.
K. Geethakumari is working as Associate Professor of Social Work and Labour Studies. She teaches in the masters and doctoral programmes. Her research interests focus on the impact of restructuring on work in the human services, particularly in the social services; race, class, and gender in everyday social service work.
She has been associated with many professional institutions of social sciences and medical social work associations. She has published extensively in a wide variety of areas, including restructuring, health and safety, bullying, the organization of work for social workers and social service public policy. Her articles have appeared in social work journal of International repute.
