ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Enid Blyton was a celebrated English writer for children. Enid Blyton has written other books like Enid Blyton's Nature Lessons, The Bird Book, The Adventures of Odysseus, Tales of the Ancient Greeks and Persians, More Letters from Bobs, The Talking Teapot, Heyo, Brer Rabbit!, A Book of Magic, Five O'Clock Tales, Chimney Corner Stories, Tenth Tell-a-Story Book, and Mr. Pink Whistle's Big Book.
Enid Blyton was born in East Dulwich, London and went to St. Christophers School. She sacrificed her piano talents for teacher training at Ipswich High School. She was a teacher at Surbiton, Bickley and Chessington for a period of five years. She married Major Hugh Alexander Pollock, an editor at book publisher George Newnes, in 1924. Enid Blyton was also a prolific short story writer and most of them were published in Sunny Stories, her magazine. Her books have been translated into almost ninety global languages and she has written almost eight hundred books throughout a period of forty years. She is known for her popular book series collections which have sold more than 600 million copies globally.
