Sri Ram did his M.A. in English Literature from Osmania University, Hyderabad (A.P). Subsequently, he did his M.Phil. on A Comparative study of Anita Desai and Virginia Woolf and his Ph.D. on Telling Stories the Indian Way. Besides Journey into Joy, he has also published, among other books, Smiling Tears (Hyderabad). At present, he teaches English in the Government Institute of Electronics in Secunderabad. Sri Ram has also travelled widely in India and abroad and is an enthusiastic admirer of all that is creative, especially as it is manifested in literature and films. A voracious reader, he has a passionate interest in science as the most convincing paradigm to understand all that goes under the name of spirituality. Indeed, observing nature and her phenomena is the surest and the most unambiguous way to tune oneself to our ‘Journey into Joy’. The book embodies the quintessence of his reflections on how to live joyfully. His informal, intimate and deeply intuitive way of exploring the basic existential issues we all face is bound to be of inestimable value. Journey into Joy is itself a delight to read and ponder over. Its naturalness and simplicity are strikingly original. ABOUT THE AUTHOR : Prof. M. Sivaramkrishna is former Chair, Dept of English, Osmania University, Hyderabad, and has a doctorate from Osmania University in American Literature.
