Agricultural production in this country depends upon millions of small farmers. Their intensity effort and efficiency have helped in raising yields per acre.
Finance in agriculture act as a key to farmers. But farmers money is always inadequate and he needs outside finance or credit. Because of inadequate financial resources and absence of timely credit facilities at reasonable rates many of the farmers, are unable to go in for improved seeds and manures or to introduce better methods or techniques. Finance in agriculture is as important as development of technologies. Technical inputs can be purchased and used by farmers only if sufficient money (funds) is available with farmers. Most of the time farmers suffer from the problem of inadequate financial state.
The main objective of this book is to provide students and instructor with a clear, up-to-date and simple and straight forward approach to learn about Agriculture Finance. It may helpful for research. I appreciate to all the people who are directly or indirectly involved me to help and publish this book.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Rahul B. Nagpal is an experienced Researcher and a seasoned Teacher since 2000 having ten years teaching experience at Post Graduation level. Nagpal has written extensively on agriculture and allied problems. Besides more than one-dozen research papers in different journals of repute, five books on different dimensions of agriculture science go to his credit. He has a special interest in active learning and alternative teaching methods. He has worked with various field of agriculture and has participated in many national and international conferences.
